- Description: The design of Telecommunications, Sound, A/V and Electronic Security Systems for two (2) new buildings and one (1) existing building with a combined area of approximately 136,000 sq. ft. In addition to the design of new systems, tasks also include evaluating the existing IT system components for reuse. Types of building uses include laboratories, offices, storage and maintenance. In regards to telecommunication systems, designs are inclusive of both raceways and structured cabling. Some wireless communications has also been designed. In regards to Sound, A/V, Access Control and CCTV systems, designs are inclusive of all components and wiring needed for turnkey operations. CCTV systems shall be used for both security type surveillance and for monitoring wildlife.
Perry Hall Library

- Size: 25,000 sq. ft.
- Description: Project consisted of the construction of a new single story structure with a total area of approximately 25,000 sq. ft. The building is among the first LEED Silver rated structures in Baltimore County, Maryland. Fire protection for the building is accomplished through the installation of a deluge dry type sprinkler system that is activated by area smoke detectors monitored by the building’s fire alarm and detection system. A new secondary metered utility power service was installed and originates from a Power Company 120/28 volt pad mounted transformer. Emergency egress and exit lighting was accomplished through the installation of self-contain battery operated lights and exit signs. Among the other special electrical systems designed and installed includes data, voice, paging, audio/visual, intrusion protection and CCTV.
Metro Park Office Building 8

- Size: 156,000 sq. ft.
- Description: Project consisted of the construction of a new five (5) story, plus basement, core and shell office building with a total area of approximately 156,000 sq. ft. Building was designed to achieve a LEED Silver rating. Heating and air conditioning for the building is accomplished through the installation of a single main variable volume rooftop unit and a network of ducts to feed VAV boxes for local comfort control. Controls for the HVAC system are DDC type. Fire protection for the building consists of a sprinkler system (with fire pump), together with an address able type fire alarm and detection system. A new secondary metered utility power service was installed and originates from a Power Company 277/480 volt pad mounted transformer. The design included a vertical raceway infrastructure for installation of voice, video and data cabling by the future tenants. Emergency egress and exit lighting is accomplished through the installation of an exterior pad mounted generator with associated distribution equipment and feeders. Generators also serves the building’s elevators.
